LAST BEST HOPE

Award-winning true story of underground escape lines and the Belgian Resistance during World War II, ‘Last Best Hope’ (2006) aired across the United States as a prime time special with nearly 2 million viewers, and also aired across European broadcast networks. The film was screened for King Albert II and Prince Philipe of Belgium and US Ambassadors in 2005.

AUSTIN REVEALED: CIVIL RIGHTS STORIES

"Austin Revealed: Civil Rights Stories" was a selection at the 2014 SXSW "Faces of Austin" showcase, screened at Google in Austin, and was a feature at the Blanton Museum of Art's exhibit, "Witness: Art and Civil Rights in the 60's." Austin PBS commissioned Producer/Director Mat Hames to begin an oral history project that will share the stories of Austin’s past to encourage discussion and thought around the city’s future. This was the pilot of what went on to become a long-running award winning series. Envisioned as a broadcast and web-based Transmedia project, Austin Revealed is made up of broadcast and web content; short 1-2 minute vignettes and individual interviews, as well as half hour documentaries created for PBS digital outlets and Austin PBS Broadcast.
